Adobe Lightroom Tutorials

The following Adobe Lightroom Tutorials will help with sorting and editing your wildlife photos.

For a general overview of the benefits of Adobe Lightroom and how it will help you to spend less time at the computer and more time out in the field click here.

Adobe Lightroom holds a catalog that you can organise by keywords saving you time when you need to find a specific shot. It has powerful editing tools when processing your images too.

Let's take a look.

Adobe Lightroom Keywords

You want to be able to find the right images quickly. Fancy being able to show all your images of snakes within seconds? searching with keywords No matter if they are stored in multiple locations. Lightroom can find everything that's tagged with the relevant keywords. Less time spent sorting disorganised images on a computer is more time outside with wildlife.

If you're looking to make money from your photography the efficiency of using keywords is essential.

Save Yourself Time With Presets

Presets are used to automate some of the editing in Lightroom. They're just saved settings that can be applied with a click. For instance If you have found a color effect you like then create a preset by clicking the + icon on the presets dropdown to the left of your image.

Now you won't have to drag color sliders next time to achieve the same thing. Lightroom remembers so that the effect is instantly applied next time.

Lightroom has a small number of presets already saved that you can use. You can add even more presets yourself or other people's are easily imported.

  1. library. Sorting and keywording photos in a catalog so that they can easily be found when needed
  2. develop. The digital darkroom where the post processing of the image takes place
  3. slideshow. The first of the output options is a slideshow
  4. web. Can create a web gallery from some attractive templates to share with others
  5. print. Preparing the image for final print
